MEET THE CREATORS

MetroHandle was born in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was forced to quarantine at home, leaving much of the city’s busses and trains empty.

meet asaf!

Asaf is a highly skilled interior designer who was forced to slow down during the pandemic. At home quarantining with his three kids and trying to stay safe, he began thinking about what life would be like as the world prepared to return to work. “I called my partner, Ori, sharing my vision to create an innovative product geared toward “The New Normal.” I wanted to help keep people safe and worry-free in a way that was practical and useful.” As fellow New Yorkers and germaphobes, they immediately zoned in on riding the subway and how to update the experience with the virus still a part of everyday life, while focusing on eliminating direct contact between hands and poles. Now, after countless prototypes, testing, and retesting, MetroHandle has evolved to being the best hygienic everyday carry for commuters all over the world

MEET ORI!

Ori wasn’t looking to create a new product, but after talking to Asaf, he was hooked. “As a real estate agent and full-time college student in NYC, the subway is often my office and study. During COVID-19, that came to a screeching halt and I found myself stuck at home sliding into Zoom meetings instead of subway seats.” When Asaf pitched the idea of a germ-free commute, it was easy for him to be passionate about creating a product that would help people feel safer during their commute. As the lead product developer and brand manager, his ultimate goal is to make it easy, efficient, and cool to stay safe while protecting others and ourselves. That is everything that Metro Handle stands for.
